EMDR Intensives: A Path to Healing

Investing in yourself is the first step to emotional healing; when you nurture your mind and heart, positive change naturally follows.

What to Expect

An EMDR Intensive is customized to fit your individual needs, pace, and goals. Some people choose half-day sessions lasting 3–4 hours each, spaced over several days, while others prefer an immersive experience with a full day of around 6 hours, including breaks. You can schedule the intensive as a single day, consecutive days, or spread it out over a few weeks. This flexibility lets us create a schedule that supports your healing process while allowing ample time for rest and integration.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Personalized care – Your intensive is crafted around you and the changes you’re hoping for.

  • Focused sessions – You’ll have the space to go further, with breaks and grounding woven in so the process feels steady and supported.

  • A safe, compassionate space – You won’t be walking through this alone; I’ll be there with you every step of the way.

  • Real relief – While no therapy can take away every past hurt, intensives often create powerful shifts that make everyday life feel lighter, calmer, and more hopeful.

Is it right for you?

An EMDR Intensive may be a good fit if you’re motivated for change, ready to focus on healing, and want to accelerate the therapy process. Because the work can bring up strong emotions, it’s important to have reliable coping skills in place or the ability to manage and regulate difficult feelings as they arise. Together, we’ll talk through your strengths, review the tools you already use, and make sure you feel well-prepared before diving in. From there, we’ll create a plan that feels safe, supportive, and right for you.

What is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive is an effective and focused therapy approach designed to help you process trauma and negative core beliefs more rapidly. Unlike traditional therapy that spaces sessions over months or even years, an intensive compresses multiple EMDR sessions into just a few days. This concentrated format accelerates your healing journey while ensuring you remain fully supported by your therapist throughout the process. It’s a powerful way to make meaningful progress in a shorter time frame, offering a deeper and more immersive therapeutic experience.

Why Choose an Intensive?

  • You want to make meaningful progress in a shorter timeframe.

  • Weekly sessions don’t fit your schedule or lifestyle.

  • You feel ready to work through a specific issue or memory that has been holding you back.

  • You’ve tried traditional therapy but want a more focused, results-oriented experience.

What Does the Research Say?

Studies have found that EMDR intensives can lead to significant improvements in symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. Many people experience lasting relief in just a handful of days, with fewer dropouts and strong results that continue months after the intensive.
